Unlike painting trees in most cases, bamboo trunks are painted from bottom to top. The techniques in painting leaves are mutually connected with Chinese calligraphy brushstroke methods. Many Chinese calligraphy practioners and masters can paint bamboo more easily than beginners without a prior experiece in Chinese caligraphy.

Considering the characteristics of Chinese calligraphy and painting brushes, they usually paint trees from top to bottom, adding texture strokes, leaves, details, scales etc. The great Zhang Daquin even wrote in his essays that a tree should be painted from TOP to BOTTOM and it will be absurd if it is done the other way. Part 7 will contain samples of masterpieces of trees and future videos will be demonstrated by other painters.
