Artist: Hans Amis, known as An He (Guangzhou – China, born 1957) Paintings.

Chinese Artist Hans Amis, An He, was born in 1957 in Guangzhou, China into an artistic family.

An He was drawn to the arts at a young age, and was under the tutledge of his father, a highly respected artist and Professor of Art in Guangzhou. He later studied at the Fine Art College of Guangzhou, one of the top academies in China.

While attending the Academy, An He was invited to join the All China Artist Association, a top national organization only for professional artists. At the age of 24, he was the youngest member ever chosen. This was his first honor.

Since then, Hans Amis, An He paintings have been widely exhibited in many cities throughout China. He also was commissioned to do hundreds of book covers and illustrations for publication.

An He has won National Art Excellence awards in China.

Three of his works have been purchased by the Chinese government for the permanent collections on display in the National Museum of Fine Arts in Beijing.

An He arrived in the United States in 1985, settling in New York before making San Francisco his permanent home in 1988.

Specializing in figurative painting, he has become one of the most sought after artists in the country for his romantic paintings of women and is commissioned by private collectors throughout the States, Europe and Asia.

An He’s tremendous admiration and respect for women comes through in all his work.

His women are usually caught in a moment of contemplation, sometimes in an opulent interior, sometimes in a garden.

Chinese painter teaching children

(the lady who is dressed in purple sweater) is teaching children drawing Traditional Chinese paintings.Unfortunatelly there was no chance for me to shoot how she painted.
She is very outstanding and her painting skill is very excellent,but for some historic reasons she isn’t as well-known as the other best painters.Now, she wants to teach her skills to childern, hoping they can flourish Traditional Chinese paintings in the future.

This evening here’s one of the three I did but the main highlight of the day was a Parcel from Rev. Yao Feng Shakya who sent me some of his paintings which are beautiful.漢語。 繪畫。 水彩。 藝術。
Many thanks to him. I’ll do a short video of the paintings he sent me. I love his painting.
