The shape, structure, spirits of each characters as well as nuances are well kept; however, due to aging and Acts of God, steles deteriorated over the years and the calligraphy needs to be deciphered, understood, and analyzed for practice or appreciation.

    I love the music in these videos, I like seeing Chinese calligraphy videos because It gives good backing to my Japanese writing, I’ve recently dedicated myself to learning 3000 Kanji( Japanese Hanzhi ) and I’m trying to learn to write them as beautifully as possible so these videos are really helpful.

    It takes time to tell the faithful and non-faithful rubbings. When I was young, I bought several altered versions which I never use again.

    now seeing your comparison, i see the difference between the non-faithful ones, yikes, they look so… wrong. XO No understanding at all.
    I have visited the Shi-bei area in Xi-an two years ago, it was an exciting time but i couldn’t stay long enough to take a real good look at those stones. A regretful thing.
